19th Annual “Evening of Hope” Gala and Auction
When: February 6th, 2016 at 6:00 pm
Where: 411 University Street, Seattle
Agents of Change is donating many of the auction items for this event, and we’re also volunteering before and during the event. Here’s a list of the auction items we’ve prepared so far:
- As a group, Agents of Change is donating a delectable wine and chocolate basket. One of Laura Kinzel’s clients works as a wine seller, and he’s providing a dozen bottles of top-quality wine.
- Lisa Pim is donating two nights at her cabin on Hood Canal. The cabin has a double bed downstairs and an upper loft that sleeps eight, and it’s just steps away from the beach.
- One of Lisa Pim’s coworkers at 1st Security Bank is providing an Aldarra golf package.
- Johnine Larsen is providing an upscale and spectacular dinner + wine evening for 8 at Sitka & Spruce, as well as a separate dinner + wine evening at Café Flora, one of Seattle’s best vegetarian and vegan restaurants.
- One of the Real Estate Gals‘ new clients is providing three nights at their Leavenworth cabin.
- And, of course, the item we’re most excited about: Dates for a Year! “Add some spice to your nightlife! Agents of Change will plan twelve personalized dates for you and your partner. Every month we’ll prepare a perfect evening of dinner and entertainment—all of it picked specifically for you. Enjoy theatre? Live music? Football games? Art exhibits? We’ll send you to the best Seattle has to offer. We’ll introduce you to some of the city’s newest and best-reviewed restaurants, too! Value: $3,000.”
Want to help, too? You can! Here’s a signup sheet for volunteers before, during, and after the Gala. The more the merrier!
There’s still time to register for the Gala, too, if you just want to participate. You can register here.

The Seattle Hotel Association created the Evening of Hope Gala in 1996. Over the past seventeen years, his event has benefited organizations such as Northwest Aids, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Puget Sound Affiliate, Plymouth Housing Group, The Pike Place Market Foundation and now, this year: Mary’s Place. All proceeds from the Evening of Hope Gala benefit the selected local charity, and over the years, it has raised well over $5.5 million. The event has grown to be one of the most successful galas in Seattle’s history.
As this year’s beneficiary, Mary’s Place hopes to expand their invaluable programming and increase the number of available shelter beds. With a goal to ensure no Seattle child sleeps outside, Mary’s Place empowers women, children, and families to reclaim their lives by providing shelter, nourishment, and hope. Women are given access to resources for employment, housing and medical care, as well as the tools they need to complete successful job interviews. Services also include connections to education, childcare, personal development, exercise, health classes, and community building activities for the entire family.
