Tonya Spivey

Real Estate Gals, REALTOR©

Tonya started her real estate career down in San Diego where her family lived for nearly ten years. Seattle’s beautiful big green trees called them back. She loves spending time in the woods or near water. Although San Diego beaches and palm trees still hold a big place in her heart, the Pacific Northwest is home. Learning is her favorite hobby, but she also enjoys cooking, entertaining, and all things spiritual.

Transitioning to a new living situation can be stressful, but Tonya neutralizes that unnecessary stress through communication, listening, and education. Using her intuitive gifts, she also sheds light on the properties and clears the energies as one owner moves out and another moves in.

Why are you an Agent of Change?

“Agents of Change brings together liked-minded people in the Real Estate industry who want to make a difference. It is so fun to co-create ways to support such great causes as Mary’s Place. I believe strongly in supporting the community and giving back. This great organization is a great way to do that directly. ”

All of us work with homes on a day-to-day basis. Why is having a home so important?

“Home is supposed to be a sanctuary and one of the safest places you can be. Knowing where you are going to rest your feet or lay your head down at night is taken for granted by many of us, but is a daily question for others—so supporting that sense of comfort has a special place in my heart, especially for women and children.”

“Being raised by a single mother who worked two jobs to make ends meet, I know what it feels like to worry if there is enough money to meet basic needs. It has been a passion of mine to help those who are where I was.”

What impresses you most about Mary’s Place?

“The longevity and growth that they have created in the last twenty years. Mary’s Place started with a passion and a vision to help where there was lack. They’ve grown so much and partnered with many great organizations to broaden their ability to help even more people. ”

What inspires you to help those less fortunate?

“Being raised by a single mother who worked two jobs to make ends meet, I know what it feels like to worry if there is enough money to meet basic needs. It has been a passion of mine to help those who are where I was.”
